HEADHUNTERS SAYS: The new Sage SALT Fly Rod is garnering all kinds of awards and is being touted as the best saltwater fly rod ever made. We agree. It's fast, and we like fast. But it makes great short shots without using "floppy tip" technology. Tarpon at the nose of the boat? No problem. Long shot with a Permit Crab? No problem. One of the worlds best casters - who we admire very much - said this about the SALT... "I don't know if a fly rod could be designed any better". Saltwater trips cost money, and we don't like to short our equipment when heading to the tropics.
